Ann Pascoe and OLDOGS are back!  The original three musicians:- Mark Corbett, bass; Noddy Curd, drums; Kevin Joyce, lead guitar will be accompanying Ann at this year's Bay of Islands festival.

The three musicians have been around playing in numerous bands over the years and their experience brings a thorough backing for Ann's vocals.  Vocalists in their own right, OLDOGS will also bring variety to each show at Paihia.

Ann is certainly an authentic country girl who was born on a back country sheep farm in South Taranaki, milked cows after her marriage, and raised five children with her husband, Ross.

In the last few years after listening to lyrics of her favourites,  Merle Haggard, the Statler Brothers, and Hoyt Axton, and always having been a writer and also a poet (of simple verse)  it seemed a natural progression to write country song lyrics.

Ann took singing lessons for a couple of years, and her first public singing was in September 2001, singing with a live band at a country music club.

Since her debut album in 2001 "The First Hello"  Ann has produced seven more  albums.

"Misty Morning Memories" 2004, was an album of nine Roy G. Ownbey songs.

In 2005 "On the Menu" was Ann's third album, the title track being another of Ann's originals, released on Hillcrest and it did well in the country music charts overseas.

"I'm Doing Fine" in 2006 has been receiving excellent feed back, with world wide airplay.  Two duets with Dennis Marsh feature on this album.

"Somewhere Between Memories & Dreams" was recorded in 2007 and includes more of Ann's compositions.

"The Best of Ann Pascoe" was produced in 2008. Also, by popular request, in 2008 Ann put out a covers album called "Country Sunshine" - the title track being the Dottie West favourite.

In 2011 Ann recorded "Easy Over Country" including the chart topping single "Scared" which stayed at #1 for four weeks  and rode high for 31 weeks on the European CMA charts.

Two duets with Dennis Marsh for the 2012 album "Sweet Memories" and also a duet with American Barry P Foley makes a variety for listeners.

"I Feel Lucky" is Ann's latest album (2013) and features another duet with Dennis Marsh, and American singer, Ray Lani, along with some cover songs and originals.

Currently her name as an independent artist figures on the world wide country music playlists, and charts compiled from this have often seen her up in the Top Five on the ECMA charts Top 100 and Ann gives full credit to the Canada's Hillcrest multi-artist releases for introducing her to the wide world of country music stations, and American song writer Roy G. Ownbey for giving her a great start.

Back at home, Ann enjoys singing anywhere she is invited to go; singing in country music festivals around New Zealand, writing songs, being involved with country radio, family and working in her garden.
