Ashley Cooper and Michael Tipping are a dynamic duo of young singer songwriters from Waikato. Together they bring a fresh approach to their music.
In September 2008 the outstanding duet was formed, firstly they started to work around the North Island at clubs, RSA's and the odd private function along the way. In October 2008 just a month after it all started they were named the winners of the Rising Star Award at the Variety Artist Club annual awards show.
Since then the duet have been in hot demand working full time around the country from Whangarei to Queenstown.
Adding to 2AM's list of success they went on to win New Zealand Country Music Song Writers of the year with "When You're In Love" and are again up for the award in 2009 with "When It Rains.
In June 2009 2AM appeared as the first ever Kiwis on the Country Music Association's Global Artist Party in Nashville Tennessee, viewed by over 40 million people and backed by Pam Tillis's band.
2AM have just released their debut album "Missing Home" recorded in Nashville Tennessee.
They look set to become a great Country Music force in NZ.
